Sarita Choudhury and Tom Skerritt have joined the cast of A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING alongside Tom Hanks. Omar Elba, Tracey Fairaway and David Menkin have joined as well as production begins today. Based on the book by Dave Eggers, the story follows a businessman (Hanks) who fails to make a decent salary in the United States, so he moves to Saudi Arabia in hopes of making it big and securing his daughter’s financial future.
Tom Tykwer (“The Warrior and The Princess”, “Cloud Atlas”) is directing from his own script. Tykwer, Hanks, Stefan Arndt, Uwe Schott and Gary Goetzman will produce.
Choudhury is best known for “Homeland” and will next be seen in “Roman Buildings.” Skerritt is pretty much awesome in everything he does. He’s slated to appear next in “Field of Lost Shoes.”
