Olivia Pope and Annalise Keating could soon be meeting, as a SCANDAL and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER crossover is in the works, according to teaser images shared by stars Kerry Washington and Viola Davis on social media Wednesday.
“Hey Ms @violadavis ❤️ check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?” Washington captioned a photo of herself on the set of HTGAWM.
Davis followed up with her own photo, in Scandal‘s Oval Office set, captioned, “Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!”
ABC has not officially announced a crossover between two of Shonda Rhimes’ biggest shows, but with Scandal going off the air after the currently filming Season 7, it would stand to reason that such a big splashy event would help them say goodbye.
The entire Shondaland lineup, also including the longest-running Grey’s Anatomy, will return to ABC on Thursday, January 18.
There will surely be more information to come as the network prepares to debut its midseason lineup at the annual Television Critics’ Association’s winter press tour, which begins tomorrow.
