SCANDAL stars are lining up their follow-ups one by one, with Bellamy Young joining co-star Scott Foley in landing her own ABC drama pilot.
Young will topline FALSE PROFITS, a comedic soap from writer and executive producer Kayla Alpert. The story follows a team of down-and-out women in suburban Arizona as they fight their way to the top of the cutthroat world of a multi-level marketing cosmetics business.
The actress will play the role of Laura, a single mom with two kids who tries to make the best of a bad situation. Tired of being ten steps behind, Laura signs up for a multi-level marketing scheme for selling cosmetics.
The project will compete against other pilots for series pickup consideration for the 2018-19 fall TV season and ABC has already ordered two drama projects straight-to-series: Take Two starring Rachel Bilson and Eddie Cibrian and Nathan Fillion-led The Rookie.
