Scott Eastwood, son of Clint, will star in the adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ book THE LONGEST RIDE. The story follows a 91-year-old man who reflects on his life with his deceased wife after being trapped in a car crash while, miles away, a young couple fall in love. Eastwood will play Luke Collins, part of the young couple, who falls in love with college senior Sophia Danko.
This film marks Eastwood’s first major studio role. Previously, he’s had minor roles in some of his dad’s movies, including “Gran Torino,” “Invictus” and “Trouble With the Curve.” More recently, he appeared in “Texas Chainsaw 3D.” His next major roles will include a starring turn opposite Rita Wilson in the war drama “Dawn Patrol” and comedy “Walk of Fame” with Malcolm McDowell.
