Sebastian Roche has been added to the cast of WER, which is being produced under the Prototype and FilmDistrict banners.
The film will be directed by William Brent Bell, who helmed last year’s found footage exorcism film, “The Devil Inside”. Rather than taking the found footage route, “Wer” is said to be following the “mockumentary” technique. The film follows a defense attorney looking for her client who has been charged in several murders. However, the more she investigates, the more she realizes that werewolves may be involved. Roche joins the film as a character named Detective Pistor, who is also investigating the case.
Roche, who most recently lent his voice to “The Adventures Of Tintin”, is no stranger on the small screen to fantasy and supernatural genres. He is currently on the cast of the hit television shows “Grimm” and “Vampire Diaries” and he previously starred in “Supernatural”
Bell will produce along with Steven Schneider, Matthew Peterman and Morris Paulson.
Roche is repped by Vanguard Management Group.
