James Franco is stocking his next film ZEROVILLE with some familiar faces, including Seth Rogen, Megan Fox, Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, Dave Franco, Craig Robinson, Joey King, and Horatio Sanz. The drama centers on a young architecture student who is obsessed with film and after he gets a job as a film editor, finds frames of a secret film within reels of every movie ever made and splices them together to create a frightening film. Apparently, Franco’s character, Vikar, has tattoos of Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift on his head and is mistaken for a member of the Manson family when he arrives in Hollywood.
Franco seems to have recruited some of his most talented friends to join him in this project. Rogen and Franco have been working together since the days of Freaks and Geeks and will soon hit the big screen again in the action comedy The Interview. McBride recently appeared in Franco’s The Sound and the Fury, which also starred King, and before that, they appeared together As I Lay Dying and Pineapple Express. In addition to Sound, King also appeared with Franco in Oz the Great and Powerful. Robinson and Franco acted together in the comedies This Is the End and Pineapple Express. And being James’ brother would make it easier for Dave to join him in the cast. It might surprise you to know that Fox, Ferrell and Sanz have never appeared on film with Franco, but they’re still one of the gang.
Rogen is repped by UTA and Principal Entertainment. Fox is repped by ICM. Ferrell is repped by CAA and Mosaic. McBride and Franco are repped by CAA. Robinson is repped by UTA and 3 Arts Entertainment. King is repped by Coast to Coast Talent Group and Industry Entertainment. Sanz is repped by UTA.
