SHERLOCK HOLMES 3 has brought in James Coyne for rewrites. The sequel reteams Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, and director Guy Ritchie.
Drew Pearce was previously tapped to pen the installment back in 2011, just prior to the franchise’s second film’s premiere. That film, Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows, raked in $545.4 million worldwide.
Ritchie/Wigram Productions, Team Downey, Silver Pictures, and Warner Bros. are producing the project.
Coyne landed on last year’s Black List with his script Treasure Island for Warners and Lionel Wigram. Coyne is repped by Gersh and The Syndicate.
