Showtime Revisits “Twin Peaks” With David Lynch & Mark Frost

by: Sammy Mink

is reviving the classic cult series TWIN PEAKS with original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost. The undertaking will be a limited series, just nine episodes, and will mark the 25th anniversary of the original series, which aired on ABC. Lynch and Frost are on board to write and produce all nine episodes of the reboot, with Lynch signed on to direct every episode as well.

The rebooted series will pick up more than twenty years after the events of the original and will continue with a similar narrative. Lynch and Frost have stated they will provide answers to many of the mysteries presented 25 years ago and will wrap it all up with a satisfying ending. Rumor has it that Kyle MacLachlan will be back as Agent Dale Cooper but nothing has been confirmed on that front yet.

Don’t get too excited yet, though. The show isn’t set to air until 2016.
