Site Updates w/ Password Details & New Online & Mobile Features

We discovered something while we were putting the finishing touches on some very cool new features for the site, and wanted to give you the heads up. This months password (PLEASE DO NOT POST IT HERE) is going to be case sensitive for some users (WIndows — Firefox is the only one we’ve confirmed thus far). We discovered this after installing the new Password entry boxes directly on the main page. By updating those, along with our current system, some browsers will now request case sensitive passwords. So, even though the one I sent out to you this month had Caps inside of it, please enter the password entirely in lowercase from now on.
And, now for something cool!
Those of you who use mobile phones to access the site (or even those who have not as of yet) are in for a treat! Our site is now a web-touch site, meaning that if you load the page on your Iphone (for example) you will open a site that looks very much like a fine point RSS feed, with little bubble post titles for each, which are fully clickable, and readable directly on your phone. What else is cool? If you enter your password once, the cache holds it (for how long, we’re still testing).
But we didn’t stop there.
Now, you can also save our site directly to your homepage – just like an App – and it even has a nifty little icon too. One click, and your INSTANTLY connected to all the news, upates, and stories on Tracking-Board.com.
Nope, we didn’t stop there, either…
So, while we were behind the scenes, making it easier to access everything on the site, a lightbulb went off… what if you could access the library from anywhere in the world, on YOUR PHONE?
Long flight, want something to read?
Got some time to kill between those meetings, and want to see what that new spec looks like that just went out this morning?
About to meet with someone and want to take a quick glance at what they’ve written, produced, or directed?
Or, did someone just ask you if you read that hot new project, to which you told them of course, and now need to scan it to pretend you had in the first place (this one has been tested)?
Well guess what…. now you can do all of those things… and you can do them RIGHT NOW!
As we’ve mentioned back in June, when the changes began to take place behind the scenes, this is ONLY ACCESSIBLE with a GMAIL account.
Ok, so how does it work?
Step One: Download the free “GOOGLE” App. (Keep in mind, any bandwidth, etc. that is used by accessing this feature, or any feature with your phone, is YOUR responsibility – so be aware of that while using it)
Step Two: On your mobile phone, log in to your google account.
Step Three: On your mobile phone, click on the “docs” segment of “Google”.
Step Four: Enjoy!
As a heads up — you can access and read all 13,000 files endlessly. HOWEVER, keep in mind, you still only get 25 downloads PER WEEK, therefore, if you click the download button, that will count towards your 25 weekly limit.
So, I hope you guys enjoy the new features. We have a LOT of new things to come October 1st, and we can’t wait to start releasing more details later in the month.
