New Line has tapped Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins to play Rusty Griswold’s sons in VACATION. The rebooted comedy stars Ed Helms as an adult Rusty who is now a father in his own right and takes his family on a road trip vacation. Christina Applegate is set to play his wife, Debbie. Chris Hemsworth and Charlie Day are in talks to join the project, which is being written and directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
Gisondo is well versed in comedies, having appeared opposite some big names in films like “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” and “Four Christmases,” as well as the “The Amazing Spider-Man” franchise where he played Howard Stacy. Next up, Gisondo is set to replace Jake Cherry as Nick Daley in “Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.” Stebbins has previously appeared in the comedy/horror flick “The Haunted House 2” and will appear in the upcoming thriller “Crawlspace” opposite Michael Vartan and Erin Moriarty.
