Skyler Gisondo’s vacation is over. The National Lampoon-reboot star is set to appear in Gerard Johnson’s THE GODMOTHER. Johnson is directing a script from Frank Baldwin with Nicholas Pileggi and Daniela Cretu producing.
The Godmother follows the biggest drug queenpin of 20th century, Griselda Blanco. Blanco made millions trafficking cocaine from Colombia to Miami, starting some of the drug wars that plagued Miami during that time. She was arrested and jailed in 1985, but then was deported back to Colombia in 2004, where she was murdered in eight years later.
Gisondo will be playing Chaz, a young man who gets in too deep with Blanco’s business. He was last seen in the reboot of Vacation playing Ed Helms’ and Christina Applegate’s son. He is repped by Paradigm and Zero Gravity Management.
