SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is adding writers Alison Rich and Nick Rutherford to its upcoming 40th season. They join fellow writers James Downey, Steve Higgins, Paula Pell, John Solomon, and Lorne Michaels, among many others. In case you have trouble keeping track of the most recent cast members of the show, they include Vanessa Bayer, Taran Killam, Kate McKinnon, and Kenan Thompson. It was also recently announced that Chris Pratt will host the 40th season’s premiere on September 27th.
Rich is the writer/actress who has acted in comedy shorts for “CollegeHumor Originals” and MTV’s “Fast Food Heights,” while Rutherford is the co-founder of sketch comedy group Good Neighbor
