Sophie Nélisse, Glenn Close and Octavia Spencer have joined Kathy Bates and Danny Glover in THE GREAT GILLY HOPKINS.
The film centers on Gilly (Nélisse) an unruly 11-year-old girl who bounces between foster families until she lands at the kooky Trotter house, run by Maime Trotter (Bates). Stephen Herek is directing from a script by David Paterson, who is also producing with Andrea Chung, John Paterson and Bill Teitler.
Nélisse had her first big role in last year’s “The Book Thief” and is repped by CAA.
Close will next appear in “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Low Down” and is with CAA as well.
Spencer starred in “The Help”, “Smashed” and “Fruitvale Station” and is repped by WME.
