Andrew Garfield has entered early talks to star in the upcoming Sony bank-robbing project THE ROBBER. The film, which is based on the real-life story of marathon runner-turned bank robber Johann Rettenberger, is also based on the 2008 German film of the same name. Spider-Man producer Laura Ziskin will produce, and the project, which has become a POWA (priority open writing assignment), is meeting with writers this minute.
Garfield, who has been busy for a while now turning out amazing performances in “Never Let Me Go,” “The Social Network,” and now filming the new reboot of “Spider-Man” is repped by CAA and Gordon and French.
