Universal‘s monster remakes are underway with BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN hiring David Koepp to pen the script. The film is set in the present day with the possibility to cross-over with other remakes in the universe.
The monster franchise is being created through Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan. Jon Mone and Jay Polidoro will oversee the project for Universal. Angelia Jolie Pitt is reported to be favored to direct and star in the film.
Koepp has worked in several franchises including Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible and the Tobey Maguire-starring Spider-Man. He most recently wrote Inferno which stars Tom Hanks and will premiere next year.
He is repped by CAA.
