Stephen King’s novella THE MIST is currently being adapted for television by Dimension Television and writer Christian Torpe, who created the Danish series Rita. It was previously adapted by Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead) for the big screen in 2007.
King reportedly gave his blessing for the series, which will tell an original story story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town but contains limitless havoc. From psychological terrors to otherworldly creatures, the mist causes the town residents’ darkest demons to appear, forcing them to battle the supernatural event and, more importantly, each other.
Torpe is represented by ICM and Principal Entertainment LA.
