Stephen Lang has returned from the isolation of badass mountain to star in James Cameron’s new Avatar sequels (that are being shot simultaneously). That’s right, he’ll be the big bad in AVATAR 2: BLUE FOR SCHOOL, AVATAR 3: WAYS TO SEQUELIZE A MOVIE and AVATAR 4: REAL THIS TIME. Apparently he’ll be stepping in for Cameron’s go-to badass Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was once rumored for “Avatar 2.”
Anyhow he’ll be reprising his previous role, Colonel Miles Quaritch although it’s unknown how this will happen. Cameron has basically said, eh, sci-fi, we’ll figure it out, don’t worry about it, just watch it dummy.
Cameron is directing all of the sequels and co-writing with Josh Friedman on the first sequel.
Lang last appeared in “The Monkey’s Paw” and will soon show up in “Gutshot Straight” and “A Good Marriage.”
He is repped by Innovative Artists.
