Max Borenstein has been tapped to pen Steven Spielberg’s UNTITLED MINORITY REPORT SERIES. Spielberg is developing the project with Amblin Television based on his 2002 action/sci-fi film “Minority Report.” Written by Scott Frank and Jon Cohen, the film version starred Tom Cruise as the head of a special police force tasked with arresting people for crimes they hadn’t committed yet. Spielberg is expected to find a big name to star in the series, much like he did with this season’s “Extant.”
Borenstein’s breakout project was this year’s Gareth Edwards helmed reboot “Godzilla,” which grossed over $500 million worldwide. Borenstein’s upcoming writing gigs include Legendary Pictures’ “Seventh Son,” as well as “The Art of the Steal,” which is being produced by Zac Efron, and an untitled Jimi Hendrix biopic.
Borenstein is repped by UTA and Anonymous Content.
