STRANGER THINGS has added Maya Hawke as a new series regular for Season 3, while promoting Priah Ferguson to a recurring role.
Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, will play the role of Robin, described as an alternative girl who is equal parts sharp and playful. Bored with her mundane day job, she just wants a little excitement in her life… and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins.
Ferguson, a scene-stealing Season 2 addition, plays Lucas’ (Caleb McLaughlin) younger sister Erica. In Season 3, Erica is back, this time with an army of friends. No longer content with sitting on the sidelines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat.
Created by the Duffer Brothers, who also direct and executive produce the series with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen and Iain Patterson, the series premiered on Netflix in 2016 and immediately found a diehard following that’s continued their journey with the characters into the second season, released in November.
Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo and more.
The first season received 18 Emmy nominations, winning five, and was honored by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) with the 2017 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series, as well as the 2017 Norman Felton Producer of the Year Award in Episodic Television — Drama from the PGA.
