Get your Eggos ready because Eleven is officially coming back for the second season of STRANGER THINGS. Actress Millie Bobby Brown is set to reprise her role as the fan favorite from Netflix’s throwback Spielbergian sci-fi series.
When the sophomore season of Matt and Ross Duffer’s Stranger Things was announced it was unclear whether or not Brown would return to the series based on the end of the last episode of season one. But after leaving fans in the dark about her return, it was officially announced that Brown will join her buddies Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard. It is still up in the air on her involvement in the new season, but it is likely that she will be a series regular.
Also joining the cast for the second season is young actress Sadie Sink who was cast in the role of Max. She is described as a “tough and confident” young female whose “appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era.”
The second season of Stranger Things will include nine episodes and is slated to be released in 2017. It will pick up about a year later, in the fall of 1984, and will delve into “bigger mythology” behind young Will Byers’ disappearance.
