Stuart Beattie has come aboard Lakeshore Entertainment’s upcoming supernatural actioner I, FRANKENSTEIN to rewrite and direct. The film, which is based on the comic book of the same name written by Kevin Grevioux (Underworld), takes place in the city of Darkhaven, where Frankenstein is a private investigator solving crimes in an underworld that houses criminals and monsters alike. Beattie replaces departing director Patrick Tatopoulos.
Beattie, who most recently wrote and directed the Aussie film “Tomorrow, When the War Began” also recently wrote “30 Days of Night” and “GI Joe: Rise of Cobra”. Coming up for him he has some heavyweight projects in the pipeline, including “Gears of War” and “Shinobi.”
Beattie is repped by CAA.
