Wayne Kramer has found the leading man for his upcoming feature ECSTASIA in Scott Eastwood. The Suicide Squad actor is set to star opposite Matilda Lutz in the sci-fi drama that follows a couple who live in a world where love no longer exists during their final days together before their love expires.
Eastwood takes over the role which was previously circled by Colin Farrell and James McAvoy. Rachel McAdams was also in talks to star in the female lead.
Written and directed by Kramer, Eastwood will produce alongside Matthew Chausse and Renee Tab & Christopher Tuffin from Sentient Entertainment, who also produced the heist pic Overdrive, which also stars Eastwood. Production is set to start in the spring of 2017.
It has been a busy year for Eastwood and it seems like it’s not slowing down anytime soon. He can be seen next in Oliver Stone’s Snowden opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt as well as the ensemble action blockbuster Fast 8. He has also joined the cast of Pacific Rim: Maelstrom with John Boyega.
