The cast for Tom Tykwer and the Wachowskis’ CLOUD ATLAS is heating up as Susan Sarandon and Jim Broadbent are now in talks to join the adaptation of David Mitchell’s epic sci-fi novel. Story is a time-shifting, kaleidoscopic – weaving six interlinking narratives, with diverse settings from the savagery of a Pacific Island in the 1850s to a dystopian Korea of the near future. Ben Whishaw was reported yesterday to have signed on for the project.
Tykwer, Andy and Lana Wachowski produces with Grant Hill and Stefan Arndt, with Philip Lee serving as exec producer.
Sarandon is repped by ICM. Broadbent is repped by CAA.
