Rejoining former Lorenzo’s Oil film-husband Nick Nolte on the small screen as a former FLOTUS, Oscar winner Susan Sarandon will be playing Margaret Graves on the new original Lionsgate comedy series, GRAVES, on EPIX.
The single-camera comedy follows a former US president (Nolte), who realizes twenty years after he’s left office that his policies have severely damaged the nation. He takes off with his assistant to try and right the wrongs of his administration. His, wife (Sarandon), is just beginning to realize her own political ambitions as her husband starts off on his quixotic journey for the public trust.
Kevin Biggs of Lionsgate recently said in a statement, “Graves is a provocative comedy featuring a terrific script from writer/director Joshua Michael Stern,” and that, “It is perfectly timed to premiere in an election year and marks a new chapter in the successful evolution of EPIX as a leading premium cable platform.”
The series is set to begin production in the fall, and will appear in EPIX’s fall 2016 season.
Susan Sarandon is repped by UTA.
