Susanne Bier is in talks to direct MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS for Working Titles. The project will follow the true story of Mary Stuart, crowned Queen of Scotland at the age of nine months who was rumored to be behind some of the most devious acts the country had ever seen. This project is not to be confused with a similar one that just had a trailer drop.
Penelope Skinner will aid Michael Hirst in writing the script. Producing will be Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner through Working Title Films. Saoirse Ronan is still attached to star.
Bier directed “Things We Lost in the Fire” and “In a Better World.” Her next film to come out will be “Serena” starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
She is repped by CAA.
