T.J. Miller And Ed Skrein are in talks to star in the long-gestating superhero action/comedy DEADPOOL. The film sees Ryan Reynolds suit up as the hilarious wise-cracking costumed mercenary, who spends as much time killing bad guys as he does breaking the fourth wall. Both roles are kept tightly under wraps, with Miller’s role undoubtedly serving as another comedic presence. Reportedly, Skrein’s talks are further along, with speculation that he may land the role of the film’s villain. Tim Miller will helm the anti-hero epic, from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Miller has had a banner year, having been featured in several of the year’s top blockbusters. This year, he appeared in Transformers: Age of Extinction, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and another Marvel superhero film, Big Hero 6. On television, Miller stars in the HBO comedy Silicon Valley, the Disney animated series Gravity Falls, and the animated adult comedy High School USA! Up next, He’ll star in Road to Nardo and lend his voice to the adult animated comedy Hell & Back.
Skrein memorably burst onto the scene with his short role on HBO’s hit series Game Of Thrones. Soon after, however, he left the part to take over the lead role in the upcoming The Transporter Legacy. A born action star, he’ll next appear in Kill Your Friends, Sword of Vengeance, and Tiger House.
