critics-choice-excerptThe nominees for the 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards were announced today, and with no surprise, HBO took the top spot raking in 22 nominations while ABC and Netflix tied for second with 14 nods. With critically acclaimed shows like The Americans, the new Donald Glover comedy Atlanta, and the uber-successful The People Vs. OJ Simpson FX ranked fourth.

Logline: In a world where Dinosaurs never went extinct, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend while traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape.

Logline: Story centers on a man who spends half of his life in and out of drug rehabilitation, and when he returns home to live with his mother, his brother’s wife still longs for her first love.

Logline: Story follows a single mother and her two daughters trying to survive and make a life for themselves amidst the mother’s rise in the glamorous Florida drug trade in the late 1970’s.

ABC adds a few to Pan Am, Charlie’s Angels and Partners, while CBS brings back Zimmer, Disney Channel rolls out a read carpet of talent for Phineas and Ferb, TNT taps another for the Dallas reboot, and USA adds a familiar face to a new leading role in L&O: CI.

Logline: Set in a village high in the Swiss Alps, the story follows a proud master archer who must save his family and town from a cruel and tyrannical tax collector.
