The finale of the second season of Manhattan will solidify its place as one of the best seasons of television ever. It more than met expectations, and really put an exclamation mark on the series make it one of the most satisfying finales of the year.

We have only one more episode left in this season of Manhattan, but all things are leading toward a destructive finale. If you haven’t yet watched this show I pity you. You’re missing some of the best television being produced.

Things are completely spiraling out of control for Meeks in this week’s Manhattan. He’s always been over his head doing his spy thing, but the noose tightens and the whole camp is looking for a spy and murderer.

World shattering changes take place in this week’s episode of Manhattan and it turns everything upside down for Frank. Any momentum he gathers in getting his place back at the table erodes before our eyes and leaves us to question what happens next?

This week, we see the events of what happens after Frank confronts Charlie in his home through the lens of the reporter trying to interview people for a story he’s writing. It’s an interesting way to cover a leap ahead in time, and one that works pretty effectively.

Things change rapidly in Manhattan and for several characters their world is turned upside down. There’s a lot going on in this incredibly rewarding show, and if you have not taken the time to watch it, I urge you to do so.

Manhattan is revealing itself to be a layered and incredibly rich drama. The world in which it exists is expanding and in the process the show is growing into a worthy successor of the quality television represented by Mad Men.

So far, the big question in this season of Manhatthan is “what’s happened to Frank?” It lingered over the entire last episode, and is what’s on everyone’s mind. The bomb was his idea, and without his guidance, everyone seems lost.

Frank’s absence looms over everything on Manhattan, but can life go on without him? Manhattan is back and I couldn’t be more excited. I know it may be a bold statement, but it’s every bit as good as Mad Men.
