Season 7, Episode 11 – Negan asks Eugene to improve The Walking Dead for his defenses. Dwight gets blamed and punished for Daryl’s escape. Negan sends Dwight to track down a missing wife but offers Eugene three of his wives for entertainment. Eugene settles in as the Sanctuary Chief Engineer and all the perks that come with it.

Season 7, Episode 10 – Rick discovers another community hiding from The Walking Dead and offers an alliance for the return of Father Gabriel and the imminent war against the Saviors. Richard loses his gun privileges and takes drastic steps to compel Ezekiel to war while Daryl drops in on Carol for cobbler and conversation before heading back to Hilltop.

Season 7, Episode 9 – Rick seeks a combat coalition with the Hilltop when The Walking Dead returns from winter break. Jesus introduces him to King Ezekiel at The Kingdom and he plunders a load of explosives from a Savior trap on his way back to Alexandria. Rick discovers Father Gabriel missing and tracks him to a whole new armed community.

There were a few big surprise wins at last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, but politics were on the minds of those attending, as most speeches highlighted the events around the country following an executive order out of the White House.

While the debate continues over whether or not Deadpool will receive any Oscar love, The People’s Choice Awards is happy to show the actioner the love, as the film picked up wins for Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Movie Actor.

Sophia Bush and Common revealed the nominations for the 23rd annual Screen Actors Guild Award and needless to say, they turned several heads. Current awards frontrunner La La Land failed to land a Best Ensemble nomination, while the television categories are dominated by newcomers Stranger Things, The Crown, and Westworld.

Last night, the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards handed out the top prizes to various categories in film and television, further heating up the awards race. Damien Chazelle’s musical breakout La La Land took top honors for film, while Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley nabbed the highest awards in the television race.

Season 7, Episode 8 – The Walking Dead heads into winter break with a devastating episode where Daryl attempts to escape sanctuary, Rick and Aaron row across Walker Lake to a floating stash, and Rosita takes a courageous shot at Negan.

Season 7, Episode 7 – Michonne uses The Walking Dead to ambush one of Negan’s patrols while Carl launches his own solo attack on the man in charge. Negan survives Carl’s attempt but struggles to find the proper punishment. Rosita prepares for her own attack while Spencer gathers food and supplies to for the Negan tax. Rick and Aaron locate a stash on their last day gathering, but it’s surrounded by walker deadly traps.

Season 7, Episode 6 – The Walking Dead catches up with Heath and Tara. They get separated by an elaborate walker trap. Heath ends up missing in action, while Tara washes up on the shore of a new hidden community. They offer Tara a permanent position if she decides to stay, but Tara wants to return to Alexandria for Denise.

Season 7, Episode 5 – The Walking Dead catch up to Maggie, Sasha, and Jesus at the Hilltop Community, when Simon, the new Negan, arrives to collect the savior’s half. Gregory wants Maggie and Sasha to leave to keep the peace, but they’re determined to stay. Carl does some soul searching.

As we head into a season of indie films and critical darlings fighting for a few awards season nominations, the 2017 People’s Choice Awards has released their list of nominees, celebrating the big hits that gained pop culture notoriety over the past year.

Season 7, Episode 4 – The Walking Dead takes us back to Alexandria where most of the people don’t know about Negan until he arrives a week early. Carl stands up to Negan, which is unacceptable. Negan leaves all the food but takes all weapons and mattresses. Nobody dies this week, but Maggie does have a fresh grave.

Season 7, Episode 3 –The Walking Dead is all about life in Negan’s sanctuary. We see Daryl get abused while Negan breaks him, and hear how Dwight survived the same process and eventually became Negan’s right hand man. Dwight’s ex-wife Sherry is back and shows sympathy for Daryl, but he doesn’t plan on kneeling to the man any time soon.

Season 7, Episode 2 – The Walking Dead sends Caorl and Morgan to a whole new shiny compound led by King Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva. Morgan wants to explore life in The Kingdom while Carol doesn’t buy Ezekiel’s act. It’s a fairy tale she wants no part of, but King Ezekiel doesn’t want her to leave yet.

The blockbuster post-apocalyptic series based on the comic books by Robert Kirkman has been renewed for an eighth season. The news came as the network was airing a retrospective episode of the show on Sunday night.

Jefferey Dean Morgan, who plays the sinister Negan on the AMC zombie drama, has been upped to series regular for season seven along with Tom Payne, Xander Berkeley, and Austin Amelio.

I’m not saying cliffhangers don’t have their uses. When employed properly, they can be quite effective. But what they shouldn’t do, and what The Walking Dead has done to betray its audience, is to hold off on finishing a story for artificial reasons.

Morgan faces his ultimate dilemma to save Carol’s life. Negan joins The Walking Dead and destroys someone we all love.

This season is all about the upsides and downsides of defense. Is it better to strike first, negotiate, trade, or just hope no one ever bothers you? Is just wanting to be the better man or woman enough?

Dr. Denise and Eugene look “Twice as Far” down the road to escape The Walking Dead. The Alexandrians go about their daily business as if there isn’t a homicidal threat stalking and waiting to devour their lives.

The Walking Dead shows us just how different life can be for people stuck in The Same Boat. Carol and Maggie meet Paula and Chelle, two women from the savior’s group that represent slightly different reflections, or possible futures, of themselves.

The Walking Dead team delivers a guns-blazing action movie with Not Tomorrow Yet. Right now it looks like team Rick has two doctors at their disposal, but if things keep up like this, they’re gonna need an armorer.

Of all the characters on The Walking Dead to catch baby fever, it’s Abraham Ford that opens his heart when “Knots Untie”. This was a fun episode for the human semi-automatic.
