The ideal candidate has 8 – 10+ years as a literary scout, has management experience in a multi-person scouting or literary affairs department, book fair experience, and deep relationships with editors/publishers, publishing agents, and Film/TV agents.
Read and write coverage of incoming creative materials and writer’s samples. Track both internal and external projects in development at production companies, studios and/or competing networks.
Identify, collaborate and cultivate relationships with top producers, talent and the entertainment community at large to communicate the creative needs of FAE and develop innovative projects.
Track current and prospective clients. Assist with special projects, research, and compiling information as needed.

Launch an IP group targeting both domestic and international sources for USG (i.e., books, articles, life rights, podcasts, formats, etc.) as well as identifying IP that aligns with talents creative requests.

Maintain organizational system for tracking project materials, incoming submissions and other tasks/requests to ensure timely response and accurate record keeping.
Serve as first point of contact with clients, agents and executives. Provide significant script coverage for client pitches.
Develop new concepts for live action series that are aligned with companywide storytelling strategy and transmedia efforts.
