Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in Shoot Like a Girl, TriStar’s adaptation of Mary Jennings Hegar’s upcoming memoir “Shoot Like a Girl: How One Woman’s War Against the Taliban Led to Her Victory Over the Department of Defense.”
Follows Air National Guard major “MJ” Hegar who was shot down while on a Medevac mission on her third tour in Afghanistan. Despite being wounded, she fought the enemy and saved the lives of her crew and their patients. She received a Purple Heart but soon she would face a new battle: to give women who serve on the front lines the credit they deserve.
Kenneth Branagh’s Murder On The Orient Express remake has just taken a hit with Oscar winner Angelina Jolie departing the project. She was reported as being in negotiations to join the cast but the studio will now turn to other big names to fill the void.
