The Assistant, Development will support the Director of Development in the day-to-day operations of the development department, which is responsible for Animated theatrical feature films and Disney + streaming content that results in the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming release slate.

Coordinate with Creative Producers and Production Management to prepare daily and weekly to-do lists in accordance with production deadlines.

Includes handling phones, calendar, filing, drafting correspondence, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.

Candidates will assist with casting, project management, voiceover production, and more.

You will help develop and produce across a wide range of IP and content formats (e.g. Animation, live-action, puppets, audio content), for YouTube as well as all other major platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Nickelodeon, Disney, WarnerMedia, PBS, Spotify, Sky, etc.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in identifying source material/talent for the adult Animation audience, giving Creative guidance and feedback to top level show runners on outlines, scripts, animatics, character designs, casting, and cuts.

Review/audit of production invoices and journal entries entered by Accounts Payable Clerk, including matching invoices to purchase orders, agreeing coding to cost reports, and ensuring all appropriate approvals are obtained.

This person should have a passion for storytelling, pop culture news, and Animated movies.

Regular admin duties are included, such as rolling calls, scheduling meetings, tracking submissions and arranging travel.
