Ava DuVernay is set to direct HBO Films’ account of an infamous fashion show that took place at the Palace of Versailles in 1973, based on the book from fashion journalist Robin Givhan. DuVernay is co-writing the screenplay with 2014 Hit List scribe Michael Starrbury.
