Ben Falcone Directing Wife Melissa McCarthy in Action-Comedy “Super-Intelligence” for New Line
It will the fourth collaboration between the husband-wife team after the upcoming comedy Life of the Party, as they make another movie from a script by The Boss writer Steve Mallory.
McCarthy is no stranger to playing a Boston cop, having starred in The Heat opposite Sandra Bullock. Of course, that was a comedic take on law enforcement, while this project will allow McCarthy to flaunt the dramatic chops she showed in St. Vincent.

Set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where puppets and humans coexist, the film follows two clashing detectives — one human and one puppet — who are forced to work together to try and figure out who’s brutally murdering the former cast of “The Happytime Gang,” a beloved classic puppet show.
A new family comedy is in the works at Fox with Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. The pair also have another comedy, Nobodies, set up at TV Land. 
TV Land has picked up a comedy pilot from Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, tenatively called Friends With Melissa. The pilot is written by Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf, and Rachel Ramras and is loosely based on their lives watching fellow Groundlings go on to make it big on Hollywood while they were stuck writing for children’s shows.
