Story is based on the true story of Greville Wynne, a British businessman who helped the CIA penetrate the Soviet nuclear program during the Cold War. Wynne and his Russian source, Oleg Penkovsky, provided the crucial intelligence that ended the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The Cumberbatch drama will be the first of Showtime’s original scripted series to air on Saturday night, following other cable networks taking advantage of the lack of network viewing options.

Benedict Cumberbatch is teaming up with Showtime on Melrose, a five-part limited series based on the semi-autobiographical novels by Edward St. Aubyn. Cumberbatch will star and executive produce, while David Nicholls is adapting the series.
