We’re a couple days into the Cannes Film Festival and there’s a considerable amount of buzz around Martin Scorsese’s forthcoming The Irishman and the long list of deals to report including the Halle Berry and Michael Douglas drama Silence.
Bold Films is moving into the realm of superheroes with their pick up of Bergi F. Schut’s Samaritan. The genre bending spec is set in the aftermath of a superhero’s supposed disappearance and follows a young boy who discovers a shocking secret about that final battle.
Logline: Set two decades after an epic battle left a city’s super villain dead and superhero missing, a young boy befriends an old man who he believes is the hero in hiding, only to discover the truth is more shocking than he could have ever imagined.
Logline: Follows a young Chinese scientist and a street-smart American expat in a race against the clock to save Earth from an apocalyptic threat — a reversal of gravity causing civilizations to uproot and plummet into the sky.
Logline: In a world rife with werewolves, a girl in an internment camp for people with the gene struggles to uncover a web of secrets.
Just in time for Halloweeen, industry manager Kailey Marsh has revealed the top choices for the 2009 Blood List!
Logline: In post-WWIII New York, a group of motorcycle-riding teens must stop one of their members from abusing his newly acquired telekinetic powers.
Logline: The story follows private investigator, Cal McDonald, who doubles as a hitman, ridding Los Angeles of the vampires and ghouls who live among the humans.
Logline: Charts the final journey of the cargo ship and her crew who was tasked to transport Count Dracula to London.
