The position will report to the Head of IP & Literary Acquisitions, and will also support various functions of the team including reading, management of coverage readers, and other tasks.
Rolling and connecting calls, maintaining phone sheet, scheduling, expense reports, travel, creative tasks such as reading and coverage, and assisting with personal tasks.
Solicit appropriate development projects and evaluate new submissions, providing detailed coverage and/or script notes as needed. Oversee the pitch, acquisition and development process.
Assistant will work closely with the development team i.e. coordinating/assisting with preparing pitches, researching and evaluating materials/IP and tracking projects in development.
Duties include errands, administrative tasks, script/book coverage and assistant editing work.
Assist the development team with coverage on incoming materials (reading scripts, books, show pitches, etc). Preparing decks for internal and external creative presentations, including editing clips and mocking up creative materials.
The ideal candidate will have a background in book rights/publishing with a strong interest in book scouting and an interest in scripted international content.
Must be assertive and have prior experience. Assistant will support director and work under guidance of director’s personal assistant and production executive.
Role will support two executives at production company with multiple network/streaming series on air and in development.
Duties include scheduling, booking travel, script coverage, and working closely with A-List actors and actresses.

Provide overall production support and assistance to Creative Director and producer.
