Author and illustrator Dallas Clayton is set to adapt the popular children’s book Harold and the Purple Crayon for Sony Animation. The original book and subsequent series were written by Crockett Davis.

Logline: A man inadvertently journeys back into the make-believe world he created as a child only to find it has fallen into ruins. Now, he must fight to save the world he once loved, and, in the process, learn you are never too old to follow your dreams.
Logline: Harold, a bald young boy with a love of drawing, fears that the birth of a new baby brother will ruin his life. With his magic purple crayon he retreats into a fantasy world in which a monster abducts his baby brother. When real-life complications occur during the pregnancy, it’s up to Harold to right his wrongs.
