Published via HarperCollins on August 23, 2011, the property was soon snatched up by Sony Pictures, with Matt Tolmach producing. Tolmach and his Matt Tolmach Productions will also make the jump to Lionsgate.
The engaging thriller follows a three-year-old child that is the next step in human evolution that could be the savior of humanity, or the destruction of it. Erwin Stoff is set to produce with Elizabeth Raposo and Josh Phillips overseeing the project for the studio.
