“Rogue One” Star Riz Ahmed in Talks to Join Tom Hardy in “Venom” as Popular Marvel Character
Ahmed is a bit of a… chameleon, and we’ve been fans ever since we saw him go toe-to-toe with Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler.
Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly star in the indie film, which follows two brothers, Eli and Charlie Sisters, who are hired to kill a prospector who has stolen from their boss. 
Oscar-nominated Hacksaw Ridge actor Andrew Garfield is ready to get back into the war zone, but in a totally different context. He is set to star and produce the forthcoming drama Black Lion. Written by Alessandro Camon (The Messenger, Bullet to the Head), the story follows the life and the mysterious death of Carlos Mavroleon.
The rights of upcoming drama Una, based on David Harrower’s Olivier-winning play Blackbird, have been secured by distributor Swen. They are an established distributor in Latin America and is starting to get involved in distribution Stateside via a deal with Eammon Films and Vision Films.
The trifecta of Jessica Williams, Chris O’Dowd, and Noël Wells have signed on to star in an upcoming Untitled James Strouse Comedy. James C. Strouse will be directing and writing the indie romantic comedy.
