With her relationships to Joe, Gordon, and Bos, she’s safely in the middle, a neutral observer of their competing businesses, but her restlessness leads her to do something that may jeopardize everything.
Season 4, Episode 3 – Donna and Gordon’s daughter Hailey comes up with the next big thing with an internet indexing website on Halt and Catch Fire, but it’ll pit personal relationships against financial and business concerns, as Donna’s Rover team races to beat Joe and Hailey to the punch.
Season 4, Episodes 1-2 – Halt and Catch Fire picks up three years after the contentious group meeting that resulted in Gordon, Cameron, and Joe splintering off on their own and coming together to develop one of the first web browsers. Things haven’t turned out like anyone planned, but a huge reconciliation may be in the works for season 4.
Season 3, Episodes 9-10 – The two-hour, season three finale of Halt and Catch Fire jumps four years into the future as Gordon, Donna, Cameron, and Joe have all gone their separate ways. The relationship dynamics between Cameron and Donna have changed in such a way that Mutiny and their friendship may not be able to hold on in Halt and Catch Fire, but maybe it’s for the best. They are co-owners of Mutiny and yet pull the company in opposite directions. How long can this last before it tears Mutiny apart?
We’ve always known that Cameron doesn’t play well with others on Halt and Catch Fire, but if she doesn’t change something soon, she may lose everything. The situation puts Donna in an awkward position that may ruin their partnership.
The thing about Halt and Catch Fire so far is that every season has been really great. Creators Christopher Cantwell and Christopher Rogers have hit the reset button each season to pivot the show in a slightly different direction, and every time it works amazingly well.
In the midst of a crisis at Cardiff, Donna proves herself to be the most likable (and useful) person around.
