TV Casting Round-Up (03.20.18) – Sinbad and Jessica Moore Tapped to Star in Fox Comedy “Rel”
Actor-comedian Sinbad is headed to the small screen for Fox’s comedy pilot Rel. Joining him is Jessica “Jess Hilarious” Moore who replaces previously cast Angel Laketa Moore. All this and more on today’s TV casting round-up.
Two projects are in development between CBS and Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s production company. One based on Ben Schwartz and Laura Moses’s upcoming book Things You Should Know About Dating, You F*ing Idiot was just picked up by CBS, while the other comedy is being developed for Isla Fisher.
Eva Longoria and Ken Marino are set to lead an all-star cast in Type-A, and John Larroquette may be returning to television as he boards Me, Myself & I.
Streaming giant Netflix has tapped Ben Schwartz and Noël Wells as the leads for their new original film Happy Anniversary. The project, written and directed by Jared Stern, will also feature Annie Potts and Joe Pantoliano in supporting roles.
Prolific director Mark Waters has been tapped to helm the upcoming live-action family comedy from Disney, Magic Camp. It’s being produced by Suzanne Todd, with Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue working on the most recent draft of the script.
The Sam Rockwell-starring feature comedy Blue Iguana has added Ben Schwartz to the cast. The project is written and directed by Hadi Hajaig and will begin production in London this July.
