Season 3, Episode 20 – Jane the Virgin ends its third season with a bang! Rather, a hurricane. Jane finds her first love through her last love. Rafael behaves like a typical ocean creature. And Ro and Xo tie the knot – although Ro is expecting a baby with another woman.
The CW is following a similar strategy as last year, shifting a critically acclaimed series to Friday night to make way for new series. Last year, they moved Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and this year it’s Jane the Virgin‘s turn.
Season 3, Episode 19 – Jane the Virgin is a bridesmaid, and like all good bridesmaids, she is a fixer. She attempts to not only fix her parents’ wedding, but she tries to fix her baby daddy up with Petra. Keep in mind she is technically his ex-girl. Oy vey.
Season 3, Episode 18 – Well, well, well. Things are heating up on Jane the Virgin. Jane gets her wish – a fling with Fabian. Ro and Xo start thinking about an extravagant wedding – something they both really want. And Mateo asks how he was created – oh, boy.
The 26th annual MTV Movie Awards was not its usual event this weekend as it was the first time it combined movie and television categories and removed gendered categories. Beauty and the Beast was the big winner of the night, taking home multiple statues and being the inspiration for the event’s opening number.
Season 3, Episode 17 – Jane the Virgin shows us the horny side of Jane. Yep. Jane, the former virgin, is a horn dog. Rafael discovers that he really wants to be with Petra. Abuela decides that remaining silent amid xenophonia isn’t an option, and Xo proposes to Rogelio.
Season 3, Episode 16 – Jane the Virgin continues to “wow” us. Abuela is working on getting her groove back. Rogelio is still struggling with not being the hottest telenovela star. Rafael likes Petra (ew). Oh! And Jane is a published author, but she has to air all her dirty laundry to make it a hit.
MTV is giving their annual entertainment award show two big changes this year. Plus, Jordan Peele’s hit horror film Get Out leads the nominations with six nods.
Season 3, Episode 14 – Ok, so….Rafael wants that old thing back (with Petra)? Xiomara finally realizes she and Bruce should have left the past in the past. Rogelio learns to never confide in a 4 year old. And Jane is finally able to not cry when talking about her late husband. Jane the Virgin doesn’t disappoint.
Season 3, Episode 13 – Hear ye, hear ye. Jane finally admits to herself that she loved Rafael on Jane the Virgin. If only she would go further by admitting she still does.
Season 3, Episode 12 – Jane the Virgin is just so darn good. I’m in love with all of the characters, and this episode makes me fall even deeper. However, Rafael needs to divorce that beard. Petra needs to revert to her evil ways. And Jane, oh Jane, is killing me with all the grief.
Season 3, Episode 11 – Jane the Virgin is now Jane the widow on Monday night’s episode. We fast-forward 3 years, and she is slowly but surely moving on from her late husband, Michael. The real MVP during this mourning period is Mateo. Let me explain…
Season 3, Episode 10 – Monday’s episode of Jane the Virgin gives me an ending that I don’t disagree with, though others will be heartbroken, proving how skilled the creators are at evolving with their cast of characters.
