ABC has beat out NBC in a HEATED BIDDING WAR today, to grab the rights to Paranormal Activity director Oren Peli’s new series THE RIVER. The project which Peli will eye towards directing, will be written by TB favorite, and Paranormal Activity 2 scribe Michael R. Perry. Peli, Perry, Jason Blum, Steven Schneider, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey will executive produce.

Logline: On July 4, 2009, a biological disaster is unleashed from the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. An isopod parasite, carrying untreatable, mutated diseases, jumps from fish to human host and replaces them with itself. Seven years later, the true horror and scope of the event, captured mainly on home videos by the town’s now long-dead victims, is revealed to the public for the first time.

Logline: A group of teens playing with a Ouija board make contact with an evil spirit and desperately try to close the door they’ve opened before meeting their own fate.

Logline: After having sex for the first time, a young woman doesn’t hear from the man so she sends a nasty email. When she discovers that he is in a coma in Mexico, she races south of the border to intercept the email before he recovers.

Logline: Story centers on Lucie and Anna, orphans who grow up together, and establish a deep-knit friendship, until one of them inexplicably goes on a murderous rampage to avenge what may or may not have been earlier incidents of child abuse, only to discover that any horrors she had growing up, would never compare to those she was about to face.

Logline: A young family makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose son has become a conduit for the supernatural, while his consciousness is held hostage in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further.

Logline: A guy fails in his attempts to have a baby with his wife so he and his buddies stage an elaborate heist to retrieve a deposit he made years ago at a sperm bank.

Logline: Story follows three curious teenagers as they head to the mythic “Area 51” section of Nellis Air Force Base in the Nevada desert.

Logline: A pro basketball player flees to Mexico to avoid dangerous creditors and ends up hiding in the country’s hoops league.

Logline: A woman picks up a homicidal hitchhiker, purposefully crashes her car and gets trapped with the killer.
