DreamWorks Animation appears to be moving forward with Shrek 5, a continuation of its venerable fairy tale franchise with the news that Austin Powers screenwriter Michael McCullers has been brought in to pen the script.

The Boss Baby is a hilariously universal story about how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family, told from the point of view of a delightfully unreliable narrator, a wildly imaginative 7 year old named Tim.

Paula Pell, Tim Herlihy, and Michael McCullers — Saturday Night Live writers from the present and the past — got together to share their stories and experiences from working on the iconic late-night sketch show.

Story details are being kept under wraps, but will continue the adventures of the cantankerous ogre, his princess bride, and his donkey sidekick.

Logline: A smooth-talking infant executive clashes with his seven-year old brother when they must band together to stop an evil CEO.

Michael McCullers is also responsible for the “Austin Powers” sequels.

Logline: Pitched as being in the vein of “Big”, story centers on a 10-year-old girl who makes 10 wishes that do not come true after the coin she drops in a magical wishing well never reaches the bottom. Twenty-five years later, the coin becomes dislodged, finally reaching the bottom, and she must deal with the 10 childish wishes she made.

Logline: The gardener of a famous therapist poses as his boss and councils his favorite rock band, reuniting the group and ultimately goes on tour.

Logline: An overburdened modern father is transported back to 1970 to see what his life would be like for dads back then.

Logline: When a man gets laid off from an auto dealership, he is reluctantly recruited into becoming an Avon salesman.

Logline: After falling into the sea and becoming a fish, a man joins the Allied forces during World War II and uses his abilities to warn ships of incoming U-Boats.

Logline: An unlikely romance set in high school.

Logline: Based on the popular American Radio and TV Series.

Logline: Centers on the adventures of Thomas Magnum, an ex-Naval Intelligence Agency officer turned private detective.
