BBC’s “Luther” to Return for Season 5 After More than Two Years Off the Air
The last episodes of the critically acclaimed BBC series Luther hit the small screen in December 2015. After well over a year of the uncertainty of the show’s future, the broadcasting company has ordered a fifth season with Idris Elba reprising his role as the titular homicide detective John Luther.
In a competitive bidding war, 20th Century Fox has come out on top to acquire the supernatural-thriller pitch Inside from Luther creator Neil Cross, the Tracking Board has confirmed.
Details under wraps, but said to be about mythological creatures and artifacts kept in a facility.
