A group of filmmakers struggle to make an inspirational and patriotic film to boost morale during the Blitz of London.

Number 9 Films is teaming up with StudioCanal-owned RED to produce a TV adaptation of Henry James’ Portrait Of A Lady. The project marks Stephen Wooley and Elizabeth Karlsen’s Number 9’s first in television.

Saoirse Ronan has been tapped to take the lead role of the young-and-in-love violinist Florence in On Chesil Beach, based on the novel by Ian McEwan.
