OUTSIDERS

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 13 – A rather anti-climactic ending to the season, and most probably the series. Most of the main characters seem to be done for, except perhaps for Big Foster, who despite extraordinary betrayals and other such sins against his people, tries to lay claim to power.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 12 – An episode full of tension about who is on whose side. Wade delves into the apparent suicide of Haylie, Butch tries to find his way back to Hasil, Gordon resurfaces, apparently at the behest of the coal company, and G’winn has explosive news for Big Foster.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 11 – An episode for the ladies. Haylie confronts coal company manager Matt about the poisoning of the Farrells’ fields. Sally-Ann takes over management of prize fighting Hasil. G’winn leads her people down the mountain to plead their case to the people of Blackburn.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 10 – A noirish episode where Haley, community liaison manager for the coal company, faces the Farrells who accuse her of poisoning the spring. Sally-Ann tries to get Hasil to give up fight club, Gordon is linked to Haley’s disappearance, and Li’l Fos has to re-consider his future in light of new information.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 8 – Li’l Fos makes his triumphant return to the mountain. G’win is very weak and fears she is dying, triggering a crisis for Big Foster. Gordon the anti-coal activist spends some time with Haley. Maybe the fight for Shay Mountain is only just beginning,

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 7 – There’s much change and tension in the air as G’win appears to have survived turning the tables on the Kinnah, while Li’l Foster’s fate appears sealed – in solitary, in a prison in another state. Wade tries to alter this fact as Ledda and her comrades stage an intervention in the town’s Coal Day celebrations.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 6 – An episode that begins and ends with serious drama for the Farrells. G’win has been captured by the Kinnah, who want to “cleanse the mountain” and return the tribespeople to their earlier ways – by force. Hasil and Sally-Ann find some domestic bliss. Abby continues to challenge Wade with her newfound activist identity.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 5 – An explosive ending is preceded by a whole bunch of tension: Sally-Ann and Hasil need somewhere permanent to go, Li’l Foster is being leaned on to join a gang in prison, Big Foster tries to plant suspicion about the Kinnah in the mind of G’win, and deputy Sherriff Wade finds himself in charge of a foundling he can’t quite shake.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 4 -Big Foster is here to stay on Shay Mountain, and being roundly challenged by Morgan and the Kinnah. Sally-Ann and Hasil are re-united, but it’s unclear if this will be very long. Winter is coming and the Farrells must stock up the smokehouse, so G’win asks Big Foster to lead a successful hunt.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 3 – Big Foster’s re-entry has many twists and turns as does Little Foster’s approach to life in a Lostie jail cell. Wade continues to struggle against the odds, with some success this time. Sally-Ann and G’win both struggle with an important decision, and both come into meaningful contact with Morgan and her tribeswomen.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 2 – G’win’s first big decision as the new Bren’in concerns some mysterious tribespeople from the other side of the mountain who ask to be taken in as their water supply has gone dry. A story is closed and others re-opened as Asa is found, Big Foster tries to escape his rescuers, and Little Foster faces court for the murder of Wade’s brother-in-law.

outsiders excerptSeason 2, Episode 1 – Season 2 of WGN America’s hit drama Outsiders premiered last night and took us right back to where we left at the scene of the storm: The Farrells united, fierce and knowing; the policemen pointing their guns and trying to see through the sheeting rain. Outsiders is back, and it’s a bloodbath.
