This individual will work closely with the CEO and other members of the team to help source ideas for Television shows, documentaries, Films, and podcasts.
You are responsible for servicing customers (managers, studio execs, producers) by identifying and selling them stories fit for Film/TV adaptation that match their needs.
Work with Topic Studios executives and producers to develop and/or vet budgets and production plans for Fiction and Nonfiction TV shows, Films, podcasts, and Documentary features that are in development, pre-production, and under consideration as potential investment.
Support the SVP in managing the Scripted Development slate and track day-to-day creative progress on projects.
Experience developing and producing Television. Podcast, Film, and documentary development experience a plus.
The person should have experience with and passion for non-scripted TV, Digital, endorsements, podcasts, and touring or licensing.
This position will direct, oversee and manage marketing initiatives in order to grow the listening audience for our expanding slate of GZM shows.
Must be well-organized with the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and take initiative supporting the needs of the manager.
Be a voracious reader and provide research, creative input and books for consideration for development.
Launch an IP group targeting both domestic and international sources for USG (i.e., books, articles, life rights, podcasts, formats, etc.) as well as identifying IP that aligns with talents creative requests.
This will entail putting together simple timelines for a variety of historical periods; finding unique characters, inspiration and “fun facts” to feed storylines.
Generate ideas, develop projects and search for valuable IP (books, comics, graphic novels, podcasts, etc).
