

The new trailer for Power Rangers paints a much darker and serious world than fans of the original series are used to. The juxtaposition between the campy fun of the original series and the serious tone of the reboot is shown in this retro mashup trailer.
After the positive response to the costume images, Lionsgate was happy to show their optimism for the the new Power Rangers films during a conference call with analysts.
Lionsgate’s reboot is still gaining steam, locking down singer Becky G., real name Rebbeca Marie Gomez, for Power Rangers. Becky G. will star as the Yellow Ranger in the teen superhero team-up pic.
After bursting on the scene in the Sundance favorite Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, R.J. Cyler has been cast as the Blue Ranger in Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot. Cyler will join Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger.
The first ranger has been cast as newcomer Naomi Scott takes on the role of Pink Ranger in the Power Rangers feature reboot. The film will begin shooting in Vancouver in early 2016.
The “X-Men: First Class” writers will take on Lionsgate’s adaptation of the hit TV show.
